Baby Invisible Braces

Checks in treatment with invisible braces usually take place once every 2 to 3 months, depending on the type of treatment and the individual plan. During the inspection, the doctor will determine whether the teeth move according to plan, check the condition of the dentition and, if necessary, adjust the further course of treatment. Compared to classic fixed braces, checks are less frequent and less time consuming. Nevertheless, they are important for the treatment to take place correctly and safely. Regular check-ups help prevent complications, ensure proper alignment of aligners and maintain healthy gums and teeth throughout orthodontic treatment.

You can notice the first visible changes in the position of the teeth after a few weeks of regular wearing of aligners. More pronounced results are usually seen within the first 2 to 3 months of treatment. With simpler orthodontic corrections, you can have significantly straighten teeth in about 6 months, for more complex cases, treatment takes longer (often 9-18 months). With digital planning and the Invisalign® system, you know ahead of time what the result is real and how long the treatment will last. We continuously monitor the shift of the teeth on the checks and, if necessary, adjust the plan so that the result is as accurate and stable as possible.

Treatment with invisible braces can usually be started within about 4 weeks after the initial consultation and initial examination. During this time, digital treatment planning, production of individual aligners and possible preparation of the dentition (for example, dental hygiene, caries treatment or minor bite adjustments) take place. The exact time may vary according to the complexity of the case and the current capacity of the laboratory. Once the braces are ready, let's arrange the application date and explain in detail how to wear the aligners, clean them and how the entire course of treatment will take place. The goal is to start treatment as quickly as possible, but at the same time safely and qualitatively.

Invisible braces (aligners, e.g. Invisalign®) needs to be worn approximately 20 to 22 hours a day for treatment to be effective and to proceed as planned. They are taken off only when eating, drinking hot drinks and when brushing your teeth. Regular and consistent wearing has a major impact on the speed and outcome of treatment — the more honestly you wear aligners, the more accurately your teeth move according to a pre-prepared digital plan. If you wear braces for a shorter period of time, the treatment may be prolonged or additional sets of aligners will need to be made. When worn correctly, invisible braces are comfortable, unobtrusive and allow normal functioning in everyday life.

The initial examination includes comprehensive orthodontic and dental diagnostics, which serves as the basis for the design of an individual treatment plan. Included is a 3D scan of the dentition using a modern intraoral scanner, x-rays (OPG or CBCT) and a detailed clinical examination in the chair by an orthodontist. The initial examination will also reveal any complications that need to be addressed before the braces are put on.
